Job Summary

This role is for an experienced leader to head the Information Security Consulting unit, focusing on advancing information security services within the Hessian State Administration. Day-to-day, the successful candidate will manage a team of specialists, oversee budget and external service provider contracts, develop security concepts, and evaluate BSI IT Baseline Protection methodologies. A key part of the role involves steering reporting to decision-making bodies and evolving the process structure for the ISM tool. This position is ideal for a professional with deep expertise in information security management, BSI IT Baseline Protection, and team leadership, who is committed to ensuring the protection of sensitive data and the integrity of IT systems in the state of Hessen. Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university education in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field, or equivalent knowledge.

Experience

  • Long-term experience in Information Security Management
  • Proven success in addressing security issues and/or IT security incidents (ideally)
  • Extensive experience in IT-relevant planning and control processes, especially budgeting and controlling
  • Long-term experience in applying BSI Baseline Protection methodology and creating IT security concepts according to BSI standards
  • Long-term experience in leading teams
