Job Summary

Join MITNETZ STROM, the largest regional distribution grid operator in Eastern Germany, as an Electrical Engineer in Operational Grid Control. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the real-time steering, regulation, and monitoring of high and medium voltage power grids using a modern grid control system. Your day-to-day will involve executing planned switching operations, responding to and coordinating restoration efforts during grid disturbances, and ensuring voltage stability, even with high decentralized feed-ins. This position involves working in a 3-shift system (early, late, night) with regular on-call duty, ensuring a secure power supply around the clock. A 12-month intensive training phase in the control center will prepare you for progressively taking on full responsibility. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional with an electrical engineering background to contribute significantly to energy security and the future of the power grid.
