Job Summary
This role is for a Machine Connectivity Engineer passionate about Industry 4.0 and the digitalization of production processes. The successful candidate will be a key part of the Smart Factory team, focusing on building and supporting the digital backbone of production sites. Day-to-day tasks include setting up machine data interfaces using tools like SAP PCo, Historian, and Kepware, defining group-wide standards for machine connectivity, and leading projects for rollouts and developments. The position involves maintaining and evolving harmonized machine interfaces across various plants, ensuring data integrity, and providing support and knowledge transfer. This is an exciting opportunity to drive the global rollout of a standardized MES system and contribute to a truly 'Smart Factory' environment.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Informatics, or comparable OR completed technical vocational training
Experience
- Professional experience in SPS environment (if no degree)
- 3-5 years in SPS environment (if no degree)
- Initial contact with MES systems and machine data connectivity (SPS, databases, OPC-UA, MQTT) desirable
