The Institute of Physics at the University of Greifswald is seeking a part-time Research Associate for a three-year, fixed-term position in Medical Physics, specializing in Magnetic Resonance Tomography (MRT). This role involves significant contributions to both research and teaching, focusing on 4D flow MRT. Day-to-day tasks include developing data analysis software and new MR sequences for blood flow measurements, supervising Master's and doctoral theses, and preparing scientific manuscripts and grant applications. The successful candidate will engage in scientific services, teach seminars on quantitative MR imaging and a special lecture in medical physics, and potentially secure their own third-party funding. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Master, Diploma, or equivalent) in Physics with a focus on MRT; Completed doctorate in Physics with a focus on MRT

Experience

  • Professional experience in scientific research and teaching
  • Experience in object-oriented software programming in C++, Python, and MATLAB
  • Experience in 4D flow MRT (desired)
  • Experience with Siemens MRTs and Bruker MRTs (desired)
