Job Summary
This role is for a Team Leader in Construction Supervision, focusing on maintenance projects within road construction for Germany's federal highway agency. The successful candidate will lead a team in planning, controlling, and ensuring the quality of new construction, expansion, and major maintenance projects for traffic facilities, in accordance with HOAI. Day-to-day tasks include project responsibility, developing cost calculations, evaluating technical variants, reviewing planning drafts, conducting safety audits, and managing multi-million euro project contracts. This position requires a strong leader with a background in civil engineering, excellent German language skills, and the ability to inspire and develop team members while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Dipl. Ing/Master) in Civil Engineering or comparable knowledge, skills, and professional experience
Experience
- Professional experience in project responsibility, planning, control, and quality assurance for new construction, expansion, and maintenance of traffic facilities
- Professional experience in leading and advising teams in construction preparation and execution of road construction measures
- Professional experience in cost calculation and technical variant comparison
- Professional experience in reviewing planning drafts and engineering services
- Professional experience in conducting safety audits and handling disputes according to VOB
- Professional experience in construction management of multi-million euro projects, including billing
- Professional experience in adapting, terminating, and updating project-related construction contracts, as well as tendering and awarding engineering services
