Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Hardware Engineer with a strong specialization in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) within the medical technology sector. The successful candidate will be instrumental in leading EMC tasks for hardware and software teams, ensuring products meet stringent international regulatory approvals, particularly EN 60601-1-2. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with various engineering teams on EMC topics, conducting pre-compliance and formal EMC compliance tests, identifying and resolving technical issues, and acting as the primary contact for certification bodies. The role also involves concept design, component selection, creating electrical drawings and documentation, prototype building, circuit analysis, and troubleshooting using various lab equipment. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a team-oriented environment, enjoys independent work, and is passionate about ensuring product safety and compliance in the medical device industry.

  • Excellent knowledge of EU, US, and international medical standards: IEC 60601-1, RoHS, ISO 14971, ISO 13485. Excellent knowledge of standard IEC/EN 60601-1-2 and specific tests (Conducted Emissions, Radiated Emissions, Harmonics & Flicker, Surge, EFT, ESD, Radiated Immunity, Conducted Immunity).
