Job Summary
This role is for a Civil Engineer or Industrial Engineer with a focus on construction, responsible for meticulously reviewing complex supplementary claims related to urban civil and pipeline engineering projects. Day-to-day, the professional will analyze claims from formal, technical, economic, and legal perspectives, develop negotiation strategies, conduct negotiations, and document outcomes. They will also advise stakeholders on claim-related issues, contribute to the continuous improvement of claim management processes, and assist in creating and awarding framework agreements. This position is attractive for someone with strong analytical and negotiation skills, deep knowledge of construction law and urban civil engineering, and a desire to contribute to the efficient operation of Berlin's largest water and wastewater company.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering (Construction focus). Alternatively, Technician/Bachelor's degree with relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in reviewing complex supplementary claims in urban civil engineering projects
- Experience in construction project calculation, ideally in urban civil and pipeline construction
- Experience with claim management in a comparable field
- For Technicians/Bachelors: Several years of experience as a Construction Manager or Estimator in urban civil engineering
