Job Summary
As a Materials Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for conducting a wide range of material analyses and tests, ensuring the quality and integrity of raw and finished parts in a highly automated manufacturing environment. Your day-to-day tasks will involve performing metallographic examinations, non-destructive testing, and hardness tests according to customer specifications and technical drawings. You will play a crucial role in quality assurance by conducting continuous checks in series production, providing manufacturing releases, and supporting root cause analysis for production issues or customer complaints. Required Skills
Education
Vocational or technical training in Materials Technology / Materials Testing (preferably specializing in Metal), or a completed apprenticeship as a Toolmaker, Precision Mechanic, Chemical Laboratory Technician, or similar.
Experience
- Professional experience in materials testing
- Experience in setting up and performing non-destructive testing procedures
