Job Summary

This role involves supporting cutting-edge research in neonatology and pediatric intensive care at the University Medical Center Mannheim, a leading medical and research institution. The successful candidate will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining a neonatal biobank, processing and documenting human samples (sera, tissues, DNA/RNA, cells) for molecular analyses. Key responsibilities include performing cellular and molecular biology techniques such as cell culture, ELISA, PCR, and Western Blot, as well as assisting with immunoassays and animal experiments. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to foundational research on lung development, organogenesis, and cardiopulmonary function in newborns, working within a motivated team dedicated to advancing medical understanding and patient care. Required Skills

Education

Completed training as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), Medical Technical Laboratory Assistant (MTLA), Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), or a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree. FELASA-B certificate (ideally).

Experience
