The City of Nienburg/Weser is seeking a dedicated Head of Department for Building and Property Management. This full-time, permanent position involves comprehensive responsibility for the personnel, finances, and organization within the Building and Property Management department. The role requires expertise in the legal and technical management of properties, including their maintenance, and effective coordination across commercial, technical, and infrastructural building management aspects. Ideal candidates will possess strong negotiation skills, be team-oriented, and have a solid understanding of planning, procurement, and construction law, as well as municipal budgeting. Education
Completed vocational training as an Administrative Assistant with successful completion of Employee Course II, OR a completed Bachelor's degree in General Administration, OR a completed Bachelor's degree in Real Estate Management or comparable field, OR a successfully completed degree (Dipl.-Ing. [FH] or Bachelor of Science) in Architecture or Civil Engineering or comparable field.
Experience
- Professional experience in the public service (for Architecture or Civil Engineering graduates)
- Several years of current professional experience in municipal administration (ideal)

- Willingness to attend evening committee meetings, sometimes outside the city hall (local councils). For foreign degrees, officially certified translation and recognition by the certificate recognition body are required.
