Required Skills

Education

University Diploma or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or Transportation Engineering with a specialization in Railway Safety Technology or Traffic Telematics; alternatively, qualification for the higher technical civil service in the federal administration.

Experience

  • Professional experience in railway control and safety technology, particularly with digital rail and ETCS
  • Experience with the approval of innovative technologies in railway control and safety technology
  • Knowledge of the railway system's functionality
  • Knowledge of CENELEC standards for RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety)
  • Knowledge of risk, consequence, and impact analyses
  • Knowledge of CENELEC standards for telecommunications, signal technology, and data processing systems
  • Knowledge of national and international regulations, standards, and guidelines in control and safety technology
  • Knowledge of interlocking technologies, level crossing systems, telecommunications, and electrical systems with a focus on digital rail and ETCS at DB AG
