The Federal Railway Authority (EBA) is seeking a highly qualified Engineer with a University Diploma or Master's degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering to join their team. Required Skills
Education
University Diploma or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or Transportation Engineering with a specialization in Railway Safety Technology or Traffic Telematics; alternatively, qualification for the higher technical civil service in the federal administration.
Experience
- Professional experience in railway control and safety technology, particularly with digital rail and ETCS
- Experience with the approval of innovative technologies in railway control and safety technology
- Knowledge of the railway system's functionality
- Knowledge of CENELEC standards for RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety)
- Knowledge of risk, consequence, and impact analyses
- Knowledge of CENELEC standards for telecommunications, signal technology, and data processing systems
- Knowledge of national and international regulations, standards, and guidelines in control and safety technology
- Knowledge of interlocking technologies, level crossing systems, telecommunications, and electrical systems with a focus on digital rail and ETCS at DB AG

- Must be eligible for civil service (Beamter/Beamtin) or seeking a tariff-based employment relationship (TVöD). Requires 'track suitability' (G25 examination equivalent). Work location options: Munich, Erfurt, or Halle. Must possess a work permit for Germany if not an EU/EEA citizen.
