Job Summary
This role is for a dedicated IT Service Storage Administrator to join a 5-person team responsible for maintaining the data center operations of the Berlin administration, including critical services for police, fire department, and justice. The successful candidate will administer, develop, and optimize block and NAS storage systems, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and manage storage allocation for a continuously growing 4.5 PiB data environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the digitalization of Berlin, working with modern tech stacks like NetApp and Primera. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired otherwise
Experience
- Professional experience in IT administration
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (Oracle)
- Experience with server hardware, network components, and storage systems
- Experience in Change and Release Management
- Experience in automation and scripting
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to undergo an extended security clearance (SÜ 2) according to § 11 of the Berlin Security Clearance Act (BSÜG)
