Job Summary

The Waterways and Shipping Administration of the Federal Government is seeking an Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems to join their team at the Elbe-Nordsee Waterways and Shipping Office in Cuxhaven. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity of vital maritime infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of various electronic systems, including wind power, solar, and fuel cell systems, as well as remote control and monitoring systems within maritime traffic technology. Key responsibilities also include the upkeep of radar and radio systems and the facilities in traffic control centers. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the preservation and sustainable improvement of waterways and shipping, combining traffic management, ecology, and economy with modern technology. The role requires a strong technical background, excellent German language skills, and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Required Skills

Education

Completed training as an Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems, Electronics Technician for Radio Technology, Information Technology, or Communication Technology, or equivalent qualification. Qualification to be appointed as an electrical specialist according to DIN-VDE 1000-10.
