Job Summary
This role is for an experienced Civil Engineer or certified Civil Engineering Technician to lead the technical department of a wastewater association serving approximately 26,000 residents. The successful candidate will manage a team and oversee the planning, execution, and supervision of new construction and development projects for wastewater and rainwater systems, including managing HOAI service phases 1-7. Key responsibilities also involve organizing sewer cleaning and TV inspections, managing comprehensive sewer rehabilitation, and maintaining the sewer network database. The position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in urban water management, and proficiency in specialized software. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a varied and responsible role within a supportive team, with opportunities for professional development and flexible working arrangements.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Urban Water Management / Deep Civil Engineering, or a comparable degree; alternatively, a state-certified Civil Engineering Technician qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in urban water management / civil engineering with a focus on deep civil engineering, or comparable experience
- Ideally, professional experience in sewer networks
- Proven leadership qualities and experience in employee management
