Job Summary
The Eisenbahn-Bundesamt (EBA), Germany's federal railway authority, is seeking a dedicated Engineer specializing in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering to join their team as a Case Worker in the Admissions department. In this role, you will be responsible for meticulously reviewing and assessing components and systems within railway control and safety technology, focusing on signal, telecommunications, and electrical engineering. Required Skills
Education
University of Applied Sciences Diploma (FH-Diplom) or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a comparable field; or qualification for the higher technical service in the federal administration.
Experience
- Professional experience in the aforementioned task areas is advantageous
- Knowledge of technical contexts within the EBA is advantageous
- Knowledge of type approval for innovative control and safety technologies is advantageous
- Knowledge of CENELEC standards (RAMS) is advantageous
- Knowledge of CENELEC standards for telecommunications, signal, and data processing systems is advantageous
- Knowledge of CENELEC standards for safety-relevant electronic systems for signal technology is advantageous
- Knowledge of risk, consequence, and impact analyses is advantageous
- Knowledge of national and international regulations, norms, and provisions in control and safety technology and general administrative regulations is advantageous
- Knowledge of interlocking techniques, level crossing systems, telecommunications, and electrical systems of DB AG is advantageous

- Must be eligible for civil servant status (Beamtenrechtliche Voraussetzungen) if seeking civil servant position. Requires track suitability (G25 examination) to be conducted by the employer. Open to civil servants of the higher technical administrative service (salary grades A 10 and A 11) and tariff employees, or individuals seeking a tariff employment relationship. Location options: Munich, Erfurt, Halle, or Frankfurt am Main. Mobile working is possible.
