Job Summary

The German Weather Service (DWD) is seeking a Service Technician specializing in Electrical Engineering or Communications Technology to maintain its remote sensing systems in Hamburg-Sasel. This role involves hands-on work with advanced meteorological instruments, including C-Band weather radar systems, radiosonde stations, and wind profilers. Day-to-day tasks will include planning installations, independently performing technical repairs, maintenance, testing, and calibration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical or communications technology, be a certified electrician, and possess the physical aptitude for demanding tasks, including working at heights.
