Job Summary

The Philipps-University Marburg is seeking a part-time Research Associate for the Marburg Center for Digital Culture and Infrastructure (MCDCI). This role, funded by the "HERMES - Humanities Education in Research, Data, and Methods" project, focuses on establishing a data competence center for the humanities and cultural sciences. The successful candidate will support project coordination, contribute to "Data Challenges" and "Data Carpentries" sub-projects, manage public relations, and assist in evaluating and developing HERMES's educational formats. This position offers a stimulating research environment, opportunities for interdisciplinary networking, and engagement with innovative digital methods and data curation practices within a dynamically growing research ecosystem.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diplom, Master, or comparable) in Humanities, Social Sciences, or Computer Science

Experience

  • Experience in handling data
  • Basic knowledge of research data management, preferably in humanities and cultural sciences
  • Familiarity with Digital Humanities tools and methods, or willingness to quickly acquire them
  • Experience with externally funded projects (advantageous)
