Job Summary

This Postdoctoral Researcher position focuses on cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence research, specifically exploring maternal immune activation within the DFG Collaborative Research Center (SFB) 1713. The role involves developing novel AI methods, such as Graph and Geometric Deep Learning and LLMs, to understand immune activation during pregnancy and improve maternal and newborn health. You will work closely with leading experts in pregnancy and neonate research, gaining access to unique, large-scale, multimodal, and longitudinal datasets. Key responsibilities include scientific services in research and teaching, project leadership within SFB 1713, developing predictive Multi-Omics integration and explainable AI methods, and contributing to open-source software and international publications. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Diploma, Master, or equivalent) and a doctorate (PhD) or proof of an imminent doctoral completion in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a comparable field, OR in an applied or life science discipline (e.g., Engineering, Biology, Medicine) with a focus on data analysis and/or Machine Learning.

Experience

  • Professional experience in data analysis, machine learning, or artificial intelligence
  • Experience in Multi-Omics integration, lipidomics, and/or single-cell analyses (e.g., flow cytometry, FACS, CyTOF) is preferred
  • Experience in interdisciplinary teams
  • Experience in mentoring junior researchers
