Job Summary

The City of Cologne is seeking a dedicated Planning Engineer for Traffic Signal Systems to join its Traffic Management Office. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring safe and efficient traffic flow across Cologne's roads and pathways. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing new traffic signal systems, optimizing existing controls, and conducting traffic-related studies. You'll also be involved in managing traffic computer systems and responding to inquiries from council committees and the public. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering with a focus on transportation, or a comparable engineering field, coupled with a strong interest and knowledge in traffic engineering.
