Job Summary

This role involves the conceptualization, maintenance, development, and quality assurance of aerosol and gas measurement procedures. The technician will independently conduct chemical-physical measurements, including control, calibration, and maintenance of all measuring equipment. A significant part of the role includes operating and managing an air measurement container in Berlin-Mitte, requiring about 20% of the work time. The position also entails extensive travel for technical support, maintenance, and calibration across the entire air measurement network. Additionally, the technician will be responsible for public relations at the measurement station, including guiding visitor groups, and will serve as the radiation protection officer for two air measurement stations. Required Skills

Education

State-certified technician in Environmental Protection Technology or Physics Technology, or equivalent skills and experience. Alternatively, state-certified technician in Electrical Engineering or Measurement and Control Technology, or completed vocational training in the electrical or laboratory technical field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in conception, supervision, development, and quality assurance of aerosol and gas measurement procedures
  • Experience in operating and organizing air measurement containers/stations
  • Experience in independent execution of chemical-physical measurements, including control, calibration, and maintenance of measuring equipment
  • Experience with quality assurance and quality management of aerosol measurements (calibration, metrology, measurement validation)
  • Experience in technical support and development for air measurement networks, including maintenance, repair, and calibration of sampling and analysis devices
  • Experience as a Radiation Protection Officer is required
