Job Summary
This role involves the comprehensive management and development of air measurement systems, focusing on aerosols and gases. The technician will be responsible for the conception, maintenance, and quality assurance of measurement procedures, including the operation of the air measurement container in Berlin-Mitte. Key responsibilities include conducting chemical-physical measurements, calibration, maintenance of equipment, and preparing samples. The position also requires significant involvement in quality assurance and public relations at the measuring stations. Required Skills
Education
State-certified Technician in Environmental Protection Technology or Physics Technology, or equivalent qualifications/experience; alternatively, State-certified Technician in Electrical Engineering or Measurement and Control Technology; or completed vocational training in the electrotechnical or laboratory technical field.
Experience
- Professional experience in environmental protection technology, physics technology, electrical engineering, or measurement and control technology
- Experience with IT applications in a laboratory setting
- Experience in data evaluation and statistical procedures
- Experience with measurement and control technology, ideally online measurement techniques for air monitoring
- Experience with (in)organic trace analysis and laboratory data acquisition

- High willingness to travel (for technical support and development of the air measurement network); Designated Radiation Protection Officer for the Neuglobsow and Berlin (Container) air measurement stations.
