Job Summary

This role involves actively contributing to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the municipal geodata infrastructure (GDI). The successful candidate will be instrumental in operating and advancing geodata services and portals, and will participate in the conception and practical implementation of Geo-AI projects, such as automated object recognition in aerial/satellite imagery and AI-supported analysis of point clouds. Key responsibilities also include evaluating and implementing Geo-AI tools and frameworks, integrating geodata with sensor data and real-time information, and collaborating with various departments and external partners for geodata provision. This position offers a chance to make a significant impact on public welfare within the city, working with cutting-edge geospatial and AI technologies.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) in Geoinformatics or Surveying with a specialization in Geoinformatics, qualifying to use the professional title "Engineer", OR qualification for career group 2, 1st entry level of the surveying technical service.

Experience

  • Professional experience with OGC standards, INSPIRE directive, geodata services, and metadata management
  • Practical experience with tools and formats such as LAZ/LAS, Potree, CloudCompare, Entwine, PDAL or comparable
  • Practical experience or interest in AI applications in a GIS environment (e.g., image analysis, classifications)
