Job Summary

This role is for a Chemical or Materials Engineer to drive innovation in Magnetic Resonance Tomography (MRT) by developing advanced polymer-based insulation systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for selecting suitable materials, defining efficient manufacturing technologies and parameters, and analyzing materials and composites for MRT applications. A key part of the role involves introducing new materials and processes into series production, collaborating with testing, process planning, and quality management teams. The position also includes providing technical clarification for series production and suppliers, as well as optimizing materials and processes for both existing and new products within interdisciplinary and international project teams. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering; alternatively, a PhD with several years of professional experience in the field of material and process development for polymer-based insulators.

Experience

  • Long-term, profound professional experience in material and process development for polymer-based insulators
  • Professional experience in the manufacturing and modification of plastics, especially thermosets
  • Experience in mechanical design using CAD software (preferably Siemens NX)
  • Proven knowledge of material requirements for MRT components
