Job Summary

This role involves providing essential customer support for digital switching systems within Airbus Secure Land Communications, a leading provider of mobile and tactical communication solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of these systems, including analyzing and resolving voice switching and signaling issues, configuring switching centers, and performing software upgrades. Collaboration with customers, project teams, and other technical departments is key. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in IT and digital switching technology, looking to contribute to critical communication networks like Germany's digital public safety radio network, with opportunities to work on introducing new services and platforms.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification, or completed vocational training as an IT System Electronics Technician with long-term experience

Experience

  • Professional experience with IT / Information Systems
  • Professional experience in digital switching technology, ideally with DXT systems (Nokia)
  • Experience in operation and maintenance of digital switching systems
  • Experience in analyzing and resolving voice switching and signaling issues
  • Experience in configuration and parameterization of switching centers
  • Experience in performing software upgrades and patches in customer or test environments
  • Experience in projects for introducing new services and platforms in Tetra or digital radio networks
