This role is for a highly motivated Research Scientist (Doctoral Candidate) to join the Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops (IGZ) in Großbeeren, near Berlin. The successful candidate will contribute to the 'PhytoM' project, focusing on understanding the mechanistic interaction of phytonutrients in plant responses to environmental factors, particularly drought stress on sulfur-containing plant compounds in Brassica vegetables. Day-to-day tasks involve designing and executing plant cultivation experiments, performing chemical analyses using advanced techniques like HPLC-MS and GC-MS, and conducting molecular biological investigations.
