Job Summary
As an Automotive On-Board Network Development Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and optimizing the electrical systems within modern vehicles. Your daily responsibilities will involve developing concepts and components for both high-voltage and low-voltage on-board networks, including their integration, placement, and power supply within new automotive architectures. You'll assess various concept alternatives in collaboration with key stakeholders, systematically identify failure points in wiring harnesses, and manage requirements using DOORS. The role also includes on-site support for different build stages at customer locations, conducting thorough error analyses, and proposing optimizations for packaging, cost efficiency, and ergonomics. Your work will culminate in documenting changes and presenting results to internal and external committees. This position is ideal for experienced professionals eager to drive technological advancements in the automotive sector.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent Technician certification
Experience
- Professional experience in on-board network development
- Experience with Siemens NX and e³ Series
