Job Summary

As an Automation Engineer, you will be instrumental in establishing, testing, and implementing automated laboratory methods, particularly on liquid handlers and complex integrated lab automation lines. Your day-to-day will involve creating and optimizing automation methods and scripts, supporting the installation of new automation lines, and validating associated computer systems and interfaces like LIMS. You'll also be responsible for the operation and qualification of automation systems and facilitating method and equipment transfer into regulated environments. This role requires a scientific degree, at least three years of experience with large-scale lab instruments and automated pipetting, and a strong affinity for computer-based systems. Required Skills

Education

Master or PhD in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Life Sciences, or a comparable field

Experience

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in handling and optimizing automated large-scale lab instruments
  • Experience in the creation and implementation of automated pipetting methods
  • Experience in GxP (GCP, GCP for labs, GMP or CLIA) environment
  • Experience in qualification/validation processes
  • Preferably experience in NGS and performing molecular biological work
