Job Summary

This role is for an experienced Project Manager in Energy and Utilities Engineering, focusing on technical building equipment within national and international construction projects. The successful candidate will independently manage facility management tasks, oversee the planning and operation of technical building equipment, and conduct commissioning and acceptance of new and renovated facilities. A key aspect of the role involves leading infrastructure projects aimed at increasing study and production capacity, particularly in Mainz and other national sites. The position also requires developing cross-site facility management strategies, including digitalization, software implementation, and standardization of project and operational processes. The ideal candidate will provide technical consultation on construction and operational matters, ensuring compliance with legal and safety regulations, and supporting the selection of service providers for building infrastructure maintenance.

Required Skills

Education

Relevant degree (e.g., Energy or Utilities Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering) or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Long-term experience in project work, preferably with existing building renovations
  • Broad understanding of technical building equipment for laboratory and production buildings, ideally in a pharmaceutical environment
  • Relevant knowledge of applicable laws, norms, guidelines, and regulations regarding occupational and environmental protection
