Job Summary

This role involves actively contributing to the energy and transport transition by enhancing the safety of Lithium-ion batteries. The technician will be responsible for the technical supervision of safety tests on Lithium-ion cells and battery modules, encompassing the setup, execution, and pre/post-processing of experiments. A key part of the role is optimizing scientific experiment workflows in the test laboratory and collaborating closely with scientists to evaluate and document test results. Additionally, the position includes maintaining and calibrating test equipment and supporting the procurement of new lab equipment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a technical background in electrical engineering or mechatronics, practical experience with electrical measurement technology, and ideally, familiarity with Lithium-ion batteries, to work in an innovative research environment.

Required Skills

Education

State-certified Technician / Master in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physical Technology, or comparable field, following a completed technical apprenticeship.

Experience

  • Professional experience with electrical measurement technology
  • Ideally, initial practical experience with Lithium-ion batteries

Additional

  • This position is initially limited to 2 years. The weekly working hours are 39 hours, and the position can also be filled part-time. Employment, remuneration, and social benefits are based on the collective agreement for the public sector (TVöD).
