Job Summary
Join the Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems Engineering (WTE) team as a System Integration Test Engineer, focusing on cellular chipsets for Apple products. This role involves designing and implementing robust development and testing infrastructure and tools, with a strong emphasis on quality and performance improvements for cellular baseband products. You will engage in all phases of the cellular integration process, from setting up and managing test systems with simulators and live networks to debugging modem and network issues. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of software, hardware, and test environments, coupled with a passion for performance, automation, and software development. You will contribute to release readiness, identify gaps, and continuously seek innovative ways to enhance product delivery and promote best practices within the engineering team.

- Experience in setting up and managing cellular test systems with simulators and live networks
- Proficiency in debug and isolation of modem and network issues
- Hands-on experience with cellular network simulators to write complex test scenarios, debug, and root cause issues to different protocol components
- Strong Python programming skills with hands-on experience in developing test frameworks and automation
- Proven experience with cellular network functionality, including knowledge of Phy, protocol network layers, and bands
- Experience with Git, Gerrit, and Jenkins job configurations and understanding of software development flow with continuous integration
- Experience in setting up Mac-based hosts and installing automation tools for test setup bring-up
- Experience in isolating software/hardware issues during system test automation execution
- Experience with driving defect analysis and root cause with project teams
