Job Summary
This role is for a dedicated Research Assistant at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, focusing on a doctoral degree within the Institute for Experimental and Applied Physics. The successful candidate will contribute to the European Space Agency's (ESA) "New Advanced Telescope for High-ENergy Astrophysics" (NewAthena) Röntgen mission. This involves developing a novel space-based instrument designed to measure high-energy electrons and ions. The position requires a strong background in physics, particularly in space-based measurement methods for energetic particles, and proven experience in developing particle radiation detection instruments.
