Job Summary
This role is for a dedicated Development Engineer specializing in battery technology, focusing on thermal conditioning and performance enhancement for traction batteries. The successful candidate will be instrumental in analyzing and optimizing battery components through advanced CFD simulations, integrating these results with real-world testing data to derive actionable recommendations. You will work on improving the lifespan, efficiency, and overall performance of batteries, coordinating closely with simulation, testing, and design teams. This position requires a strong background in thermodynamics, electrified drive systems, and hands-on experience with 3D CFD simulations. It's an opportunity to contribute to innovative solutions in electromobility within a leading international engineering specialist.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technical Physics, Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or comparable fields with a focus on Electromobility or Mechatronics
Experience
- Professional experience in conducting CFD calculations, particularly in solving kinetic and thermal problems and their combination
- Experience with 3D CFD simulations using common tools, preferably Ansa and Siemens Star CCM+
- Strong understanding of thermodynamic relationships and their practical application
- Good knowledge in the field of electrified drive systems, especially in the development and design of traction batteries
