Job Summary
This role is for a Software Technician specializing in Land C2 Solutions for Airbus Helicopters, based in Immenstaad, Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for automating configurations and updates of devices, operating systems, and applications, including those without internet access. Key tasks involve automating software installations, creating automated tests with logging, and supporting system and acceptance tests. This position requires strong technical skills in scripting, programming, and operating systems, along with experience in network configuration, IT security, and directory services. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist or IT Systems Electronics Technician, or a university degree in Computer Science, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in configuration of networks and Network Time Protocol (NTP)
- Professional experience in conducting system and acceptance tests at the customer site
- Professional experience in IT Security (Firewall)
- Professional experience in directory services (Active Directory, LDAP)
- Desirable experience in integration, testing, and acceptance of complex systems
- Desirable experience in handling and configuring radio devices (HF, VHF, UHF), mobile phones/cellular networks (TETRA), GPS, and satellite phones
Languages
Additional
- Driving license Class B/3 required; Willingness to work with military clients; Willingness to travel for on-site assignments (approx. 2-3 times per month) and flexibility for short-notice business trips.
