Job Summary
As an Applied Data Science Engineer in the Scalable Core team, you will innovate at the intersection of data science, software engineering, and AI/ML/GenAI. Your day-to-day will involve designing and implementing intelligent, production-ready solutions for energy management using statistical models and building reusable, scalable components for a company-wide AI/ML/GenAI platform. You'll apply statistical and machine learning techniques to industrial data, design reusable data science components, and collaborate with MLOps engineers to operationalize models. This role is attractive due to its direct impact on enabling smarter, more efficient energy management solutions across various environments (cloud, on-premises, edge) and the opportunity to work alongside technical experts in scalable systems, DevOps, MLOps, and AI, shaping the future of energy through software innovation.
Required Skills
Education
Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field
Experience
- Extensive experience applying classical data science and statistical modeling to real-world challenges
- Hands-on expertise in Python with pandas, scikit-learn, and NumPy
- Experience in experimentation and model evaluation with ML/AI frameworks
- Knowledge of MLOps practices and tools (MLflow, Airflow, Kubeflow preferred)
