Job Summary

This role at the Leibniz Institute for Photonic Technologies (Leibniz-IPHT) offers an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Engineer or Electrician to contribute to cutting-edge research in quantum technologies. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing electronic measurement, control, and regulation devices for laboratory setups and custom sensor electronics. This includes developing low-noise analog circuits for high-precision measurements and working with programmable control electronics. You will collaborate with international scientists in state-of-the-art laboratories, bridging physics, mathematics, materials science, and engineering. The position is initially for two years with the potential for permanent employment, offering a chance to advance new quantum technologies into practical applications within a supportive and interdisciplinary environment.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diploma or Master) in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines, OR successfully completed vocational training as an Electrician or Mechatronics Technician, or in a comparable electro-technical field with relevance to scientific instrumentation.

  • Experience working precisely and independently based on circuit diagrams or drawings
