Job Summary

As a Development Engineer for Structural Simulation in Nuremberg, you will be instrumental in advancing vehicle technology, specifically focusing on electric motors and inverters. Your daily tasks will involve conducting FEM simulations, particularly in structural and thermomechanics, to analyze and evaluate the strength and deformation behavior of motor components. You'll also assess the sealing and slip behavior of housing flanges, continuously optimizing simulation methodologies. This role requires you to manage external simulation projects, represent simulation interests in project teams, and collaborate with international colleagues. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical or automotive engineering, extensive experience in FEM and thermomechanics, and proficiency in simulation tools like Abaqus and ANSYS. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in simulation
  • Professional experience in FEM simulation, thermomechanics, and strength calculation
  • Experience in programming with scripting languages, ideally Python
  • In-depth experience in applying Abaqus
  • Experience with CAD systems, preferably CATIA V5
