Job Summary

This role seeks a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to lead a Junior Research Group focused on translating evolutionary principles into antimicrobial treatment strategies. The successful candidate will develop diagnostic tools and therapeutic recommendations to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR), specifically guiding a clinical study on urinary tract infections (UTIs). The position involves optimizing antibiotic treatments by considering factors like bacterial fitness and resistance resilience. Key responsibilities include continuous development of novel experimental models and multi-omics techniques within an interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in life sciences with a strong background in infection/cell biology, immunology, biochemistry, or bacterial genetics, along with a proven publication record and an interest in developing leadership skills.
