Job Summary
This role involves critical data analysis and evaluation within the Police State Security department in Aachen, Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, assessing, storing, analyzing, and interpreting police-relevant information, particularly concerning politically motivated crime. Key duties include initial assessment of criminal online content, creating situational reports and statistics, processing reporting obligations, and conducting systematic research in various media, including Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and social networks. The position requires strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills, along with a background in data analysis, project management, or relevant academic fields. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to public safety and criminal prosecution in a challenging and dynamic environment, specifically focusing on national security matters.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent university degree in Project Management, Data Analysis and Data Management, Data Evaluation, Software Engineering, Computer Communication, Computer Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, or Humanities with experience in statistical evaluation or empirical research. Alternatively, a successfully completed vocational training with several years of experience in data evaluation and analysis.
Experience
- Professional experience in data evaluation and analysis (if no university degree)
- Several years of service experience (for public service employees with comparable skills)
- Experience with analysis software programs
- Experience with database systems
- Knowledge in criminal case processing or state security
- Experience in handling classified information
- Knowledge in politically motivated crime

Additional
- Must pass a security clearance according to the Security Clearance Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (SÜG NRW). Valid Class B driver's license. Willingness to work part-time (27 hours and 55 minutes per week). This is a temporary position until March 10, 2028.
