Job Summary
This role combines instructing and IT system administration for specialized training platforms within the North Rhine-Westphalia Police's training and personnel department. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, conducting, and evaluating IT training courses, particularly in operating systems and networks. This involves developing and updating training concepts, creating digital learning materials, and ensuring quality assurance. Additionally, the role includes significant IT system service duties such as planning, installing, and maintaining hardware and software infrastructure for training platforms, managing Windows networks, server administration, and ensuring system operability. The position requires strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and adherence to IT security standards. Required Skills
Education
• University degree (Bachelor/Master) in Computer Science or an IT-focused field, OR • Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (System Integration), OR • State-certified IT Assistant with at least one year of relevant professional experience, OR • Completed vocational training as a System Electronics Technician with at least one year of relevant professional experience, OR • Comparable IT-focused education with at least one year of relevant professional experience, OR • Proven teaching qualification for natural science or computer science subjects in general school service and experience as a media representative
Experience
- Professional experience in IT training and development (desirable)
- At least one year of relevant professional experience (if holding specific IT assistant or system electronics qualifications)
- At least two years of experience teaching natural sciences or computer science and acting as a media representative (if holding a teaching qualification)

- Willingness to participate in working groups and project groups.
- Willingness for temporary assignments at other LAFP NRW locations.
- Health suitability confirmed by an official medical examination.
