The successful candidate will join the Digital Transformation and AI Directorate at the University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG) as an IT Analyst specializing in backend microservices architecture. This crucial role involves developing essential applications for managing patient billing, tracking care pathways, and planning unit occupancy. You will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, efficient microservices solutions, leveraging modern technologies like Java/Spring. Key responsibilities include leading technical decisions for the Java backend, ensuring application security and longevity, and mentoring junior developers through pull request reviews. This role covers the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept to final deployment, and includes providing Tier 2/3 user support. This is a challenging opportunity to apply deep technical expertise (10 years experience required) in a high-stakes healthcare environment, driving the future of a modern, high-performing hospital system.

Master's degree in IT or equivalent
Experience
- 10 years of successful experience as a Developer
- Proven expertise in event-oriented microservices architecture
- Confirmed experience with OAuth2, Hibernate, SQL, and MongoDB
- Experience in hospital information systems (patient records, care pathways, flows) is highly valued

- Fixed-term contract of 12 months. Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum) is an asset. Competence in Angular version 14 minimum is an asset.
