Job Summary

The IT Strategy Coordinator will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the IT strategy for a public authority focused on nature, environment, and climate. This involves actively contributing to the development and execution of strategic IT goals, closely collaborating with various departments. A key responsibility includes coordinating and performing initial strategic assessments of new software before its introduction. The role also supports strategic IT procurement processes by advising on and coordinating IT requirements across departments. Furthermore, the coordinator will be instrumental in managing AI-related pilot projects and initiatives, specifically focusing on process optimization and data analysis. This position offers a meaningful role within a sustainable organization, providing flexible working hours and opportunities for professional growth.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or FH-Diplom) in Computer Science or a comparable relevant field. Alternatively, a three-year vocational training (BBiG) as an IT Specialist with state recognition.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT coordination or project management, ideally within the public sector
  • At least 2 years of professional experience if holding a vocational degree as an IT specialist

Additional

  • This is a permanent, part-time position (19.92 hours/week). The work location can be chosen between Duisburg or Recklinghausen. Interest in new technologies, especially in Artificial Intelligence, is beneficial. Open to career starters and lateral entrants.
