Job Summary
The Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU), a leading European university, is seeking a Co-Lead for its newly established Professorships Staff Unit. This pivotal role involves strategically shaping and managing the unit alongside a legal co-lead, focusing on the entire lifecycle of professorships from appointment to termination. The successful candidate will be instrumental in coordinating and supporting appointment and retention negotiations (especially W2 and W3 professorships), managing performance-related payments for professors, and overseeing the 'LMU Gateway' program for international scholars. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic development of a key service area within a renowned academic institution, demanding strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
