Job Summary

The Brandenburg State Parliament is seeking an IT Infrastructure and Network Administrator to join its IT department. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation and availability of the parliament's IT infrastructure, including supporting members, factions, and the administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering Microsoft Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, Exchange, and SQL Server clusters. They will also manage systems on both physical hardware and virtualized environments (vSphere, Proxmox), handle system monitoring, and manage Docker containers. This position requires a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, broad IT knowledge including open-source software, and a proactive, team-oriented approach. It's an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for IT administration, looking for a part-time role in a dynamic parliamentary environment.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Informatics, or equivalent experience. Master's students in Computer Science or Informatics are also encouraged to apply.

  • Part-time position (20 hours per week). Fixed-term contract until May 31, 2027. Flexibility regarding working hours to meet parliamentary requirements. Friendly and obliging demeanor.
