Job Summary

As a PLC Software Developer with HMI experience, you will be instrumental in developing and designing fully and partially automated vehicle systems for industrial technology, adhering to machinery directives. Your day-to-day will involve creating PLC programs, drive software modules, PLC networks, and visualization/PC applications, alongside drafting circuit diagrams and developing test and simulation systems. You will also be responsible for producing system descriptions, specifications, and internal software documentation, as well as test and commissioning protocols. The role requires supporting risk analyses, conducting on-site commissioning both domestically and internationally, and providing technical support for development tasks with suppliers. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in automation, particularly in crane and vehicle technology, possessing deep technical understanding of PLCs, sensor technology, and battery technology, and a willingness to travel.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree (FH, Bachelor, Master) in Engineering / Technician in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in automation, preferably in crane and vehicle technology (e.g., FFT), and related safety technology
  • High technical understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), sensor technology, and battery technology
  • Initial experience in HMI programming for panels
  • Basic knowledge of a high-level programming language (e.g., C#, Python) is beneficial
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
  • Experience with agile working methods
