Job Summary

The Deutsche Bundesbank is seeking multiple Data Scientists to enhance its financial and economic statistics reporting processes. In this role, you will be responsible for independently managing Data Science tasks, evolving statistical methodologies, and digitalizing and automating data collection and quality assurance workflows. A key focus will be on improving data quality management, implementing modern technologies and analytical methods within agile teams, and analyzing future topics like cloud migration. You will also contribute to national and international data requirements, adapt processes to regulatory changes, and collaborate with internal and external partners. This position offers an opportunity to work at the heart of financial stability and monetary policy within the European System of Central Banks, contributing to a stable Euro and a functioning economy.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or equivalent in Economics (e.g., VWL, BWL, Business Law, Business Psychology) or a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, (Business) Mathematics, (Business) Informatics, Data Science, Physics, Quantitative Economics/Finance) with at least a good grade.

Experience

  • Professional experience in conceptual work and/or committee work (advantageous)
  • Experience with agile methods (e.g., Kanban or Scrum) and their application in data-driven IT project management (advantageous)
