As a Lead Software Architect specializing in Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging Control Systems, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of healthcare technology. This role involves defining and designing the software architecture for modern CT scanners, ensuring high-quality, stable solutions through efficient and automated testing. You will provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team architects, making critical decisions that balance quality, timely delivery, and cost-efficiency. Your responsibilities include translating strategic goals and clinical requirements into robust architectural concepts, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and identifying architectural functions for which you will develop design solutions. This position offers a dynamic environment within a global team, with significant flexibility for mobile work within Germany and limited international remote work, making it an attractive opportunity for a seasoned architect passionate about medical software development.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Software Architect certification (SWA, SSWA) or comparable qualification is ideal.

Experience

  • Many years of professional experience as both a developer and a software architect
  • Experience in an agile, interdisciplinary, and multi-site environment
  • Ideally, experience in medical software development or another regulated environment
  • Proven, long-term professional experience and further qualifications in this field (if no degree)
