Job Summary
As a Lead Medical Physicist (MPE) in Product Management, you will drive the success of the "MPE on demand" service, providing certified radiation protection support to medical facilities. Your role involves leading a specialized team of medical physicists, defining performance standards, and ensuring seamless service delivery by optimizing requirements, tools, and expertise. You will analyze large datasets from dose management systems to identify patterns for continuous optimization, advise sales teams, and create tailored service offerings. This position requires strategic development of the service, driving revenue growth, and maintaining strong internal and external partnerships. The ideal candidate blends deep technical expertise in medical physics with strong business acumen and a customer-centric approach, contributing to safer and more efficient radiological operations.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree in Medical Physics or equivalent. Certification as a Medical Physicist (MPE) with expertise in radiation protection (ideally for radiology and nuclear medicine). Alternatively, a degree in Medical Technology, Business Administration, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Long-term professional experience in Medical Physics
- Professional experience in product management of radiological systems or services (alternative)
- Familiarity with clinical processes and workflows in radiology departments
- Experience in a consulting role within a clinical environment
- Initial technical leadership experience (ideal)
- Comprehensive experience and knowledge in evaluating large data sets and assessing statistical metrics
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to travel within Germany (approx. 10-20%). Ability to work remotely within Germany up to 60% of the time. Option for mobile work from abroad for up to 30 days per year under certain conditions. Position can be full-time or part-time (minimum 30 hours per week).
