Job Summary

The Bavarian State Office for the Environment is seeking a Regional Manager for Natural Climate Protection to join its Nature Conservation and Bavarian Species Protection Center in Augsburg. This role is crucial for implementing the federal government's Natural Climate Protection Action Program in Bavaria, focusing on improving ecosystems, strengthening their resilience, and contributing to climate protection goals. The successful candidate will advise regional stakeholders on funding opportunities, support grant applications, and disseminate best practices for natural climate protection measures, particularly concerning bogs, floodplains, water bodies, and other water-dependent habitats. Key responsibilities also include networking support structures, identifying and resolving legal/administrative hurdles, collaborating with relevant centers, and organizing public relations events to promote acceptance and knowledge transfer. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to climate action and ecosystem restoration in Bavaria.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diploma or Master's) in Geography, Biology, or a comparable field
