Job Summary

Join DB Energie GmbH in Leipzig as a Junior Electrical Engineer, focusing on planning infrastructure projects for railway power supply. This role involves creating detailed planning documents (phases 5-6 HOAI) for electrical systems, including substations and converter plants. You'll be instrumental in developing technical solutions for new constructions or replacements of railway power switchgear, managing project timelines and costs, and preparing service specifications. Regular site visits and coordination with clients, builders, and authorities are part of the day-to-day. The position offers a comprehensive 12-month onboarding program with mentorship, providing in-depth knowledge of railway power supply, processes, and regulations, including exposure to digital working methods like BIM. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to sustainable energy solutions for Germany's railway network and develop expertise in a critical infrastructure sector.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering with a focus on Electrical Engineering, or Energy Technology, or comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in energy supply, preferably in power plants (advantageous)
  • Experience in railway operations (advantageous)
  • Initial experience with technical implementation of infrastructure projects in planning phases according to HOAI (advantageous)
