Job Summary
The IT Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in managing IT systems throughout their entire lifecycle, from planning and implementation to operation and optimization. This involves designing and deploying modern IT infrastructures, providing technical consultation for pre-sales and project environments, and ensuring the smooth operation and support of IT systems. The ideal candidate will have initial professional experience with endpoint management systems, asset, and patch management. This position offers a dynamic environment to advance new topics in IT lifecycle management, work with diverse system landscapes, and continuously improve IT processes and standards, contributing to the establishment and optimization of IT-supported business processes for clients.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical vocational training or a degree in Computer Science or a comparable field.
Experience
- Initial professional experience in planning, implementing, and supporting client and server infrastructures.
- Initial professional experience with Endpoint Management Systems throughout their entire lifecycle.
- Practical knowledge in client and server management (Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, iOS).
- Experience with management solutions like Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), Matrix42 Empirum, Altiris, or WorkspaceONE.
- Experience in software packaging and distribution, as well as patch management.
- Knowledge in automating IT processes with Ansible, Terraform, or VMware Aria Automation.
- Experience in building, operating, and optimizing VDI environments.
- Familiarity with IT Service and Asset Management platforms like Matrix42 Service Management or Altiris Asset Management.
- Solid knowledge of network and infrastructure fundamentals and experience with virtualization technologies.
